PETG (Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol) is a high-strength, premium 3D-printing material known for its exceptional toughness and chemical stability. It is a modified version of the exact same type of plastic used to make clear water bottles and food-safe containers.

We specifically choose high-grade, animal-safe PETG for our mesh plugs because:

• Water & Moisture Resistant: Unlike standard 3D-printing plastic (PLA), which can become brittle or degrade under long-term humidity, PETG is highly hydrophobic. It will not break down, rot, or warp when exposed to high-humidity enclosures or constant underwater submersion.
• Chemically Inert & Safe: PETG is intrinsically non-toxic and free from harmful additives like BPA. It is chemically stable, meaning it will never leach harmful toxins or heavy metals into your soil, water, or animal enclosures.
• Heavy-Duty Durability: It features incredible interlayer bonding, making it highly resistant to cracking or snapping. It easily handles the warm, humid ambient temperatures of tropical enclosures without warping or losing its shape.
